Sectional Organizing - Master's Restroom [Part 1]

Finally....as promised..here is the next of the series of organizing I have done at home. For the past days I have been so inspired by the blogs I've read about how some people find pleasure in organizing their homes and sharing it to the world. I am a fan I must admit and so here I am hooked on it and loving it. :-)

My organizing ideas are simply a retouch of areas in the house. Nothing phenomenal really just a simple uncluttering of stuffs we accumulated for years as a couple and as a family.  Sounds overrated but really, that is all there is about organizing. A little overwhelming at first but it should actually be a way of life. And that  is my goal from now on.

The first target in my list was the restroom in the master's. It is such a small area so the challenge was to create a feel of more space.  The mirrored cabinets were used to put our medicines and perfumes. I haven't thought of changing that scene so I am mainly focused on clearing the sink top assuring that I won't lose efficient functions of our daily regimen tools.

This was how it looked before. All my toiletries are on top.
Lotion, hairspray, facial cleanser, hairstraightening iron, his gels, make-up brushes everything. It's a mess!
I wanted these to all go away and just have a clear surrounding area.  I also intended to rearrange that side table standing at the end of the sink where all my jewelry boxes are placed.

Remember that over-the-door shoe rack I bought from Walmart?
I used regular thumb tax to evenly put the rack on the side.

Voila! This was how it turned out. Neat.

When I had the first hanging shoe rack I bought last week I realized that it can be an all-around organizing caddy for almost everything so I bought another one. This time, I asked my mom to cut it into two and sew the ends so it won't lose the threads. I used the other half to fit on the side of the sink.
Instead of putting away my toiletries they were actually hidden.

Instantly gone with the wind. lol.  It felt so much neater and clearer in
this area. Although there's still a few more to do in here which I shall post in a little while, I felt relieved
knowing that I will wake up with a spaceous sink top.

The next thing I wanted to reshuffle is that small table I placed beside the sink. I thought there was something off with that so I decided to put it just across the sink leveling the side of the toilet itself.

But obviously this still needs alot of work. So in the next parts of this project you shall see how it looks way way better. :-)  I like to see even and balanced colors with this arrangement and I think that hiding these stuffs under that open table will definitely create a huge difference.

Stay tuned to my next uncluttering solutions for this scenario. :-)
